Consumer Beware

Due to the rise in popularity of e-cigarettes and vape pens as well as overwhelming number of very young smokers, I felt it was necessary to expose the truth about these devices…

Companies like JUUL spend outrageous amount of money marketing their “healthy” smoking alternative devices to the public, especially targeting teenagers and young adults. From attractive packaging to appetizing flavors, these companies managed to convince the general public that their products are actually better and safer than traditional cigarettes. That resulted in 900% increase in smoking among high school students as well as 40% increase in new smokers overall!

The simple truth is we do not know what effects these e-devices will have since they have not been on the market long enough to actually be studied. That industry is NOT FDA regulated, therefore they do not have to disclose ingredients/amounts nor has the FDA evaluated any of their claims.

However, there are few facts we do know… They are just as addicting as traditional tobacco products. Recent study found just a single use of a vape pen with NO NICOTINE in it affected blood vessels of a healthy 20 to 30 year olds. Not to mention all of the previous mishaps like self exploding pens, collapsed lungs and the fact that some smokeless tobacco devices contain 3-4 times amount of nicotine contributing to gum disease and tooth decay.

In conclusion, my word of advice is do thorough research prior to using one of these devices… because what you don’t know may kill you or your loved ones!
